Bloomdale is a village in Wood County, Ohio. Located 8 miles west of Fostoria on the CSX mainline tracks, the population of Bloomdale was 724 at the 2000 census. This is a nice, small village to watch trains. Usually, the trains are moving at track speed, so if you like to watch fast trains, Bloomdale is the place. On the north side of the tracks, just off Railroad Street and benieth the tall water tower, you can watch trains and even have a cookout. We do frequently!
